Join your Oakdale Hy-Vee registered dietitian Jena, for a night of diabetes education.
The workshop will begin with a store tour focused on diabetes management. Jena will point out diabetes-friendly foods throughout the store and explain how choosing your carbohydrates carefully can make a real difference.
The second portion, will be set up for meal prep. Choose your ticket based on the recipe you would like to prepare and we will have everything set to go and even do the clean up! Each meal serves 4, however if you would like to divide your meal into smaller portions and make 2 smaller meals of the same recipe that is fine. All meals can be taken home to freeze, thaw and then prepare at a later date (similar to our freezer meal workshops).
The workshop will end with us sending you home with other meal solutions including samples, recipes, and an aisle by aisle guide of diabetes friendly foods and tips based on our store layout, and a new familiar face (Jena - our dietitian) that can be used as a resource when you are shopping.
