Hemoglobin A1C is a blood test that individuals living with diabetes use to manage their blood glucose levels. Hemoglobin A1C helps provide information about that individual’s average levels of blood glucose over a 2- to 3-month period.
November is National Diabetes Month. To better assist individual with diabetes or at risk for diabetes Hy-Vee dietitian's will be performing free HgbA1c screenings at the stores. Visit Kayla, your Brookings Hy-Vee dietitian, inside the Healthy You Mobile from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, for your free screening. The screening will take approximately 10 minutes and you will have your results to take with you.
