The Teal Pumpkin Project was created to raise awareness of food allergies and promote inclusion of all trick or treaters. To participate, all you do is place a Teal Pumpkin outside of your house to let trick or treaters know that you have non-food items available. Want to learn more about the Teal Pumpkin Project and food allergies? Stop by the store on Tuesday, October 22, from 4-6 p.m. where your Perry Hy-Vee dietitian will be available to answer questions about shopping with food allergies and give some examples of non-food items that you can provide this Halloween.
