Hy-Vee Homegrown

In 1930, Hy-Vee co-founder David Vrendenburg build a network of local growers. He drove his black Ford pick-up from farm to farm, buying tomatoes, potatoes, apples and more to meet his customers' desire for fresh, local products and to support his local community.

Today, that same spirit lives through the Hy-Vee Homegrown program – providing produce grown within 200 miles of each store. Because when it comes to local, we never forget where we are, or what brought us here.
