Zesty Apricot-Glazed Wings

12 Hy-Vee chicken wingettes, about 1-1/2 lbs. total, thawed | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil | ||
Hy-Vee salt, to taste | ||
Hy-Vee ground black pepper, to taste | ||
¼ c. Southwestern barbecue sauce | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee apricot preserves | ||
Fresh basil, chopped, optional |

- Large rimmed baking sheet
- Aluminum foil
- Wire cooling rack
- Hy-Vee nonstick cooking spray
- Silicone pastry brush
- Meat thermometer
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil; place a wire rack on top of foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- Brush wings with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on prepared rack.
Bake wings for 15 minutes. For glaze, combine barbecue sauce and apricot preserves. Brush wings with glaze after 15 minutes.
Once wings have reached 180 degrees, remove from oven. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil, if desired.
