1 (8-oz.) pkg. Hy-Vee Country House thick-sliced applewood bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pices
¾ c. Hy-Vee Short Cuts chopped white onions
3 (15-oz. each) canned beans, such as: black, butter, Great Northern, and/or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 c. bottled barbecue sauce, such as maple, bourbon, or hickory flavored
¼ c. water
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee dark brown sugar, packed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook bacon and white onions in an 8-inch cast iron skillet for 8 to 10 minutes or until bacon begins to crisp; drain fat. 

  2. Stir in black, butter, Great Northern, and/or pinto beans. Stir in barbecue sauce, water, and brown sugar.

  3. Bake, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Serve warm.
