    Things To Grab

    • 9x13-inch baking pan
    • Hy-Vee nonstick cooking spray
    • Medium bowl
    • Large skillet
    • Meat thermometer
    • Aluminum foil

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine pasta sauce and water; set aside.

    2. Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly softened. Add ground beef; sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Cook, breaking up large pieces until cooked through (165 degrees). Stir in cream cheese; cook until melted and well combined. Stir in cottage cheese and remove from heat.

    3. Place 4 lasagna noodles on the bottom of prepared baking pan. Top with 1 cup pasta sauce, 2 cups ground beef mixture, and 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat to create 3 layers. Top lasagna with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cover with aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick spray.

    4. Bake, covered, 45 to 55 minutes. During the last 5 minutes of baking, remove aluminum foil. Bake until cheese is melted and slightly browned and sauce is bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
