Directions
Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onions. Sauté until beef is no longer pink (165 degrees) and onions are tender, about 8 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning and salsa. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Tuck half of cheese in between the bread pieces, top with meat mixture, and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 15 minutes, or until bread is toasted and cheese has melted.
If desired, sprinkle loaf with cilantro, and serve with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
