    1 lbs. lean ground beef
    ½ c. yellow onion, chopped
    1 (1.25-oz) envelope Hy-Vee 30%-less-sodium taco seasoning
    ¾ c. water
    2 (16-oz each) tubes Hy-Vee jumbo flaky homestyle biscuits
    8 tbsp. Hy-Vee shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
    Hy-Vee shredded lettuce, optional
    Hy-Vee salsa, optional
    Hy-Vee sour cream, optional

    • Ungreased baking sheet

    Directions

    1. Brown ground beef with onion over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until thickened. Cool slightly.

    2. Press each biscuit into a 4-inch circle. Place 8 biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.

    3. Top each biscuit with 1/4 cup taco filling and 1 tablespoon cheese. Place remaining biscuits on top and press lightly to sandwich the filling inside.

    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden-brown. Serve with shredded lettuce, salsa and sour cream, if desired.
