6 skewers*
4 medium sweet potatoes
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee butter
¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select 100% pure maple syrup
⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg

    Directions

    1. *If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes. Preheat grill for direct cooking to medium heat.
    2. Peel sweet potatoes; cut into 1-inch chunks. Thread 5 to 6 pieces of sweet potatoes onto each skewer. Brush with olive oil.
    3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Mix in syrup and nutmeg; cook until smooth; set aside.
    4. Place potato skewers on oiled grill rack. Grill for 20 minutes or until tender, flipping every 5 minutes. Brush with brown-sugar glaze during the last 3 minutes of grilling.
