    12 (1.5 oz each) frozen boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins, thawed
    1 (2.6 oz) pkg Shake 'n Bake original mix
    ½ c. Hy-Vee white vinegar
    ½ c. unpacked Hy-Vee brown sugar
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee pineapple juice
    ¼ c. Heinz ketchup
    2 tsp. Hy-Vee soy sauce
    1 ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch
    2 tbsp. water
    4 Hy-Vee pineapple slices, optional

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Coat chicken with Shake 'n Bake as directed on package. Bake on a greased baking sheet for approximately 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
    3. Meanwhile, bring vinegar and brown sugar to a boil in a medium skillet. Stir frequently.
    4. Add pineapple juice, ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Stir until well blended.
    5. In a small cup, dissolve cornstarch in water. Slowly add cornstarch mixture to the boiling sauce. Stir continuously until mixture thickens.
    6. Serve sauce with chicken tenderloins and pineapple slices if desired.
