Sugar Cookie Fruit Tart (Get Cooking)
Hy-Vee Bakery sugar cookies make the perfect crust for a teeny tiny fruit tart. Use your favorite fruits and berries.
Servings and Ingredients
|4 oz.||unsalted butter, softened|
|4 oz.||cream cheese, softened|
|2 c.||powdered sugar|
|1 tsp.||vanilla extract|
|1 tsp.||lemon zest|
|12||Hy-Vee Bakery sugar cookies|
|12||fresh strawberries, stems removed and fanned, divided|
|12||fresh raspberries, divided|
|48||fresh blueberries, divided|
|12||mandarin oranges, divided|
|12||kiwi slices, divided|
- To make cream cheese frosting, beat together the butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer. With the mixer on low speed, add the powdered sugar one cup at a time until smooth and creamy. Beat in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
- Using an offset spatula, spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of cream cheese frosting on each cookie. Decorate each cookie with 1 fanned strawberry, 1 raspberry, 4 blueberries, 1 mandarin orange and 1 kiwi slice.
