    4 oz.unsalted butter, softened
    4 oz.cream cheese, softened
    2 c.powdered sugar
    1 tsp.vanilla extract
    1 tsp.lemon zest
    12Hy-Vee Bakery sugar cookies
    12fresh strawberries, stems removed and fanned, divided
    12fresh raspberries, divided
    48fresh blueberries, divided
    12mandarin oranges, divided
    12kiwi slices, divided

    Directions

    1. To make cream cheese frosting, beat together the butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer. With the mixer on low speed, add the powdered sugar one cup at a time until smooth and creamy. Beat in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
    2. Using an offset spatula, spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of cream cheese frosting on each cookie. Decorate each cookie with 1 fanned strawberry, 1 raspberry, 4 blueberries, 1 mandarin orange and 1 kiwi slice.
