Strawberry-Stuffed French Toast

|⅓ c.||Hy-Vee strawberry cream cheese spread|
|¼ c.||sliced strawberries|
|2 tbsp.||Hy-Vee powdered sugar|
|8 slice(s)||Hy-Vee Texas toast|
|3||Hy-Vee large eggs|
|¼ c.||Hy-Vee skim milk|
|½ tsp.||Hy-Vee cinnamon|
|Hy-Vee whipped topping, optional|
- In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, strawberries and powdered sugar until smooth.
- With a sharp serrated knife, carefully cut a slit in each bread slice to form a pocket. Fill each with about 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture.
- In a shallow pan, beat together eggs, milk and cinnamon. Coat stuffed bread slices in egg mixture.
- Warm a greased, large skillet over medium-high heat. Place stuffed bread in skillet and cook until lightly browned on each side. Serve with whipped topping, if desired.
