½ c.Hy-Vee ketchup
½ c.molasses
1shallot, coarsely chopped
1 tbsp.liquid smoke flavoring
1 tbsp.packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
1 ½ tsp.Hy-Vee Worcestershire sauce
¾ tsp.Hy-Vee lemon pepper
½ tsp.cayenne pepper
¼ c.Hy-Vee cola
3 lbs.Hormel Always Tender pork loin country-style ribs
Hy-Vee salt and Hy-Vee pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine ketchup, molasses, shallot, liquid smoke, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon pepper and cayenne pepper. Puree until smooth. Pour into a medium bowl and stir in cola. Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place ribs meaty-side-down on grill over medium-low heat. Cover and grill for about 1 1/2 hours, flipping every 15 minutes, or until ribs are tender.
  3. Grill for an additional 30 minutes, generously basting ribs with sauce, flipping every 5 to 10 minutes. Remove ribs from grill and let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
  4. *Test Kitchen tip: The sauce can be made 1 day in advance. Blend, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
