1 lbs. sirloin steak , sliced into thin strips
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee canola oil
1 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
1 onion, sliced
1 (1.25-oz.) pkg. Hy-Vee fajita seasoning mix
⅓ c. water
8 (6-inch) Hy-Vee taco-size flour tortillas, warmed
Hy-Vee shredded Co-Jack cheese, optional
Hy-Vee salsa, optional

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet. Add peppers and onion; cook until crisp-tender and starting to brown.

  2. Return steak to skillet; stir in seasoning mix and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Divide among warmed tortillas. Serve with cheese and salsa, if desired.
