Steak and Veggie Sandwiches
Servings and Ingredients
|1 lbs.||boneless sirloin steak|
|½ tsp.||sea salt|
|1||large green pepper, seeded, sliced|
|1||medium onion, sliced|
|8 tbsp.||Velveeta shreds, divided|
- Remove steak from refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for 20 minutes. Season with salt.
- Meanwhile, preheat grill to medium heat. Place steak on grill. Cook for 5 minutes. Turn. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Remove from heat. Slice steak into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
- Meanwhile, place pepper slices and onion slices on grill. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
- Split buns; evenly fill with steak slices. Top each sandwich with 2 tablespoons of cheese shreds and pepper slices and onion slices. Wrap each sandwich in foil. Grill for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
