¼ lbs. Hy-Vee bacon, diced | ||
½ c. chopped onion | ||
1 (14.5 oz) can Hy-Vee diced tomatoes, undrained | ||
1 (8 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee chicken broth | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee dried basil leaves | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground black pepper | ||
1 (12 oz) package Hy-Vee thin spaghetti, uncooked |
Directions
- In a large skillet, fry bacon 2 minutes. Add onion and cook until bacon and onion are lightly browned.
- Stir in tomatoes, chicken broth, basil, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain.
- Serve with tomato sauce.
