Spaghetti with Broccoli and Bacon Sauce

4 lean Hy-Vee bacon slices | ||
1 c. chopped onion | ||
2 clove(s) garlic, minced | ||
1 (26 oz) jar Hy-Vee traditional spaghetti sauce | ||
8 oz. Hy-Vee thin spaghetti, uncooked | ||
6 c. fresh broccoli florets | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee grated Parmesan cheese |
Directions
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain thoroughly.
- Crumble bacon and return to skillet. Add onion and garlic. Cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cook 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, adding broccoli during last 3 minutes of cooking.
- Drain pasta and broccoli. Toss with sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.
