    Root Beer Syrup
    1 can(s) (12-oz.) root beer
    ½ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    Grape Syrup
    1 c. water
    1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    1 packet(s) (0.14-oz.) grape Kool-Aid
    Flavored Ice
    2 can(s) (12-oz. each) Canada Dry ginger ale and lemonade, frozen in ice cube trays
    Snow Cones
    2 oz. grape Pucker liqueur
    2 oz. root beer schnapps
    2 oz. Root Beer Syrup
    2 oz. Grape Syrup

    • 2 medium saucepans
    • blender or snow cone maker
    • paper snow cone cups

    Directions

    1. For Root Beer Syrup: Combine root beer and granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool completely.

    2. For Grape Syrup: Combine water, sugar, and grape Kool-Aid in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool completely.

    3. Shave Ice: Place frozen Canada Dry ginger ale ice cubes into a blender or snow cone maker. Cover and process until desired consistency.

    4. root beer schnapps, Root Beer Syrup, and Grape Syrup over each snow cone. Serve immediately.
