    2 lbs. chuck roast
    2 c. water
    1 (2 oz) envelope Hy-Vee onion soup mix
    2 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
    8 hoagie buns
    8 slice(s) Hy-Vee Swiss cheese

    Directions

    1. Place chuck roast into a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker.
    2. Combine water and onion soup mix. Stir well. Pour over chuck roast. Add mushrooms.
    3. Cook covered on HIGH for 6 to 8 hours. Remove roast from broth.
    4. Shred roast with a fork.
    5. Using a slotted spoon, remove mushrooms and set aside.
    6. Strain broth and skim off fat. Pour broth into small cups for dipping.
    7. Serve warm beef on hoagie buns topped with a slice of cheese and mushrooms.
