Slow-Cooked Fajita Stew

1 large red bell pepper, chopped | ||
1 large green bell pepper, chopped | ||
1 large sweet onion, chopped | ||
1 tsp. minced garlic | ||
2 lbs. boneless round steak, cubed | ||
1 (1.25 oz) package Hy-Vee fajita seasoning mix | ||
½ c. water | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee salsa, optional | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee shredded taco cheese, optional | ||
Hy-Vee sour cream, optional |
Directions
- Place peppers and onion in a 5-quart slow-cooker. Top with beef.
- Sprinkle fajita seasoning over meat and pour in water.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until tender.
- Serve topped with salsa, cheese and sour cream if desired.
