1 c. boiling water | ||
1 tbsp. bottled chili sauce | ||
1 c. dry TSP (textured soy protein) | ||
1 c. chopped onion | ||
1 c. finely chopped zucchini | ||
½ c. chopped bell pepper | ||
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce | ||
¼ c. bottled chili sauce | ||
½ tsp. chili powder | ||
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce | ||
1 tsp. cider vinegar |
Directions
- Combine boiling water and 1 tablespoon chili sauce. Pour over TSP to rehydrate it. Set aside.
- Saute onion, zucchini and bell pepper in a nonstick pan until tender. May need to add a little water to prevent sticking.
- Add rehydrated TSP and cook, stirring, for another minute.
- Stir tomato sauce, 1/4 cup chili sauce, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar into TSP mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
