When in doubt, reach for the Old Bay seasoning and a bag of shrimp. This simple two-ingredient dish can be served with literally anything—rice, veggies, salad, pasta, or on it's own as an appetizer. And if you don't plan to fire up the grill, check out the alternative method for boiling the shrimp.
Servings and Ingredients
|1 lbs. (51 to 60 ct) shrimp, peeled, deveined, thawed if frozen|
|Old Bay Seasoning, as needed|
Things To Grab
- Charcoal or gas grill
- Metal or wooden skewers
Thread shrimp on skewers, stacking shrimp tightly together so there is no space between shrimp. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with Old Bay seasoning.
Hyvee Culinary Expert TipIf using bamboo skewers, soak skewers in water for 30 minutes before using.
Grill, turning once, until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 4 to 6 minutes total.
Hyvee Culinary Expert TipTo boil, bring 1 cup water and 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Carefully add shrimp, cover with lid and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon or drain in a colander.
