    1 head(s) romaine lettuce, chopped (about 8 c.)
    1 c. diced celery
    4 Hy-Vee large eggs, hard boiled, peeled and sliced
    2 ½ c. frozen Hy-Vee peas
    ½ c. diced green bell pepper
    1 c. diced sweet onion
    8 slice(s) Hy-Vee bacon, fried and chopped
    2 c. Hy-Vee mayonnaise
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    2 c. Hy-Vee shredded cheddar cheese

    Directions

    1. Place lettuce in 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish or large clear serving bowl. Layer with celery, egg slices, peas, bell pepper, onion and bacon.
    2. In a medium bowl, stir together mayonnaise and sugar. Spread over the top of salad.
    3. Top with cheese. Cover and refrigerate until chilled or up to 24 hours.
