    10 to 12 large daylily buds
    2 tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 scallions, minced
    1 tsp. chopped parsley
    ½ tsp. dried oregano or tarragon
    salt and pepper, to taste

    Directions

    1. Trim the stems from the buds. Rinse in cold water and pat dry on paper towels.
    2. In a skillet, melt butter and saute scallions for 2 to 3 minutes.
    3. Add buds, parsley, oregano (or tarragon), salt and pepper.
    4. Saute and stir for 5 minutes, just until tender.
