Sandwich Cookie Owls
My what large eyes you have... Make your next fall gathering a hoot with these adorable owl treats.
Servings and Ingredients
|1 ½ c. Hy-Vee creamy fudge frosting|
|12 prepared chocolate cupcakes|
|24 Hy-Vee chocolate sandwich crème cookies|
|36 Reese's pieces candies|
- Spread frosting on prepared cupcakes.
- Carefully twist open sandwich crème cookies, making sure crème stays on 1 side of cookie. Place 2 crème cookies on each cupcake, side-by-side, on upper part of cupcake, with crème side facing up, to form owl's eyes.
- Cut remaining cookies without crème with serrated knife into thirds. Place 2 pieces on each cupcake, with flat edge on top of “eyes” and sticking out over edge of cupcake to form owl's ears.
- Dab 2 Reese's pieces with frosting and press 1 onto crème of each cookie at center lower portion for eyes. Place a third Reese's piece for owl's beak vertically at bottom below eyes.
