1 lbs. lean ground beef | ||
1 medium onion, chopped | ||
2 (14.5 oz) cans Hy-Vee diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained | ||
1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee chili powder | ||
1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained | ||
Hy-Vee shredded cheddar cheese, optional |
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown. Drain.
- Pour beef, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning and kidney beans into a greased 4-quart slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
- Top with cheese if desired.
