    4 c. vegan powdered sugar, divided
    ¾ c. vegan dark cocoa powder
    ¼ c. almond butter
    ½ c. Hy-Vee original almond milk
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract
    ⅔ c. Hy-Vee slivered almonds, toasted and chopped, plus additional for garnish

    • 8x8-inch baking pan

    Directions

    1. Whisk together 3 cups powdered sugar and dark cocoa powder in a microwave-safe bowl. Add almond butter and almond milk. Microwave on MEDIUM for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon every 30 seconds until well combined. 

    2. Stir in 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in 2/3 cup toasted and chopped slivered almonds and remaining 1/2 cup powdered sugar.

    3. Pat into foil-lined 8x8-inch pan. Garnish with additional slivered almonds, if desired. Refrigerate 3 hours or until set. Cut into 64 pieces and store covered in refrigerator.
