Potato and Rutabaga Gratin
Servings and Ingredients
|1||medium rutabaga, peeled, quartered and thinly sliced|
|1||large russet potato, peeled, halved and thinly sliced|
|1||small yellow onion, quartered and thinly sliced|
|¾ c.||Hy-Vee skim milk|
|1 tbsp.||Hy-Vee flour|
|1 tsp.||kosher salt|
|Hy-Vee ground black pepper, to taste|
|1 c.||Hy-Vee shredded pizza cheese|
- Toss together rutabaga, potato and onion in a large bowl. Place in a greased 8-inch-square baking dish. Press down to make a flat, even layer.
- Combine milk, flour, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over the vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes, until bubbly and the vegetables are soft. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
