1 small onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 ¼ c. Hy-Vee traditional pasta sauce
8 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
6 Hy-Vee garlic knot rolls
1 (8-oz.) pkg Hy-Vee shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until softened and onions are beginning to brown. Stir in pasta sauce and basil. Simmer over low to medium-low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.

  3. Remove garlic knot rolls from package and place on a baking sheet. Top with pasta sauce, reserving some sauce for dipping. Sprinkle with cheese.

  4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately and serve remaining pasta sauce for dipping.
