Pineapple Curry Sauce
A hurry-curry stovetop sauce fragrant with spices will make your ham sing! This is the perfect sauce for any holiday ham or even on roasted poultry.
Servings and Ingredients
|2 tbsp. water|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch|
|1 (20 oz) can Hy-Vee pineapple chunks in juice, undrained|
|2 tbsp. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar|
|½ tsp. Hy-Vee curry powder|
|¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon|
|⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee ground allspice|
|Hy-Vee ground cloves|
- In a small bowl combine water and cornstarch; set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine undrained pineapple, brown sugar, curry powder, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
- Serve warm over ham slices. Cover and chill any leftover sauce for up to 3 days. Before serving, reheat sauce.
