Pigskin Crunchers (Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts)
Servings and Ingredients
|10||slices Hy-Vee bacon, cut in half|
|1||(8 oz) can whole water chestnuts, drained|
|1 c.||Hy-Vee barbecue sauce|
- Wrap a piece of bacon around each water chestnut and skewer with a toothpick. Place on a broiler pan and broil until bacon is crisp, turning once, about 5 minutes per side. Check frequently so as not to burn bacon.
- Add cooked water chestnuts to a 4-quart slow-cooker and cover with barbeque sauce. Cook over LOW heat until through, about 1 to 2 hours.
