    2 medium pears, peeled, cored, and chopped
    Coarse sanding sugar
    3 c. Hy-Vee ginger ale, divided
    Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
    Pears, sliced, for garnish

    • 2 shallow dishes
    • 5 8-oz. glasses
    • Ice

    Directions

    1. Infuse vodka by muddling chopped pears with vodka in a large mouth jar; let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Strain vodka and discard pears.

    2. Dip rim of cocktail glasses in water and then in sugar; fill each glass with ice. Add 1.5-oz. of pear-infused vodka over ice and top each glass with 5-oz. ginger ale. Garnish with rosemary sprig and pear slices, if desired.
