Pear Ginger Lemonade (Get Cooking)
Servings and Ingredients
|1 c. water|
|¾ c. sugar, plus additional for sweetening|
|4 slice(s) fresh ginger root|
|6 c. pear nectar|
|1 c. fresh lemon juice, from 5 to 6 lemons|
|Fresh lemon slices, for serving|
- To make ginger simple syrup, bring water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in the ginger. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Strain through a sieve over a bowl, and discard ginger.
- Combine pear nectar, ginger simple syrup and lemon juice in a pitcher over ice; chill. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Garnish with fresh lemon slices before serving.
