Pear and Blue Cheese Crostini
Servings and Ingredients
|1||pear, cored, cut lengthwise into 12 slices|
|1 tsp.||Hy-Vee lemon juice|
|1||Hy-Vee Bakery Take and Bake baguette, cut into 12 slices, 1/2-inch thick|
|4 oz.||crumbled blue cheese (1 c.)|
|4 tsp.||Hy-Vee nonfat milk|
|¼ c.||chopped Hy-Vee walnuts, toasted|
|4||Hy-Vee bacon slices, cooked and crumbled|
- Preheat broiler. In a medium bowl combine pear slices and lemon juice; toss to combine. Set aside.
- Broil bread slices 5 inches from heat 1 minute per side or until lightly toasted.
- Stir together cheese and milk until smooth; spread evenly on 1 side of each toasted bread slice. Sprinkle each slice with 1 teaspoon walnuts, top with 1 pear slice and some of the bacon crumbles, and serve.
