    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon
    ½ c. Hy-Vee 2% reduced-fat milk
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee unsweetened applesauce
    Desired mix-ins, such as: chopped apples, blueberries, chocolate chips, or toasted nuts
    Hy-Vee unsalted butter, for serving
    Hy-Vee 100% maple syrup, for serving

    • Resealable plastic bag or squeeze bottle
    • Griddle or large skillet
    • 2 shallow bowl

    Directions

    1. Whisk together pancake mix and cinnamon. Stir in milk and applesauce. Place batter into a reusable plastic bag or a squeeze bottle. 

    2. Spray a griddle or heavy skillet with nonstick spray. Preheat over medium-low heat. Squeeze pancake batter to form 1/4-to-1/2-inch circles. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.

    3. Place pancakes in 2 shallow dishes. Top with desired mix-ins such as chopped apples, blueberries, chocolate chips, or toasted nuts. Top with butter and drizzle with with syrup.
