Description

A homemade family favorite with ingredients you can feel good about, this creamy mac & cheese is bound to make the regular dinner rotation. Try it will different seasonings and fresh herbs, like basil, thyme, and oregano.

8 oz.DeBoles organic elbow pasta (2 c. dry)
1 ½ c.organic skim milk
3 tbsp.organic flour
1 tsp.organic salt
1 c.organic shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 c.organic shredded mild cheddar cheese
Organic paprika, black pepper or cayenne, optional

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return to pot.
  2. In a small bowl, combine milk, flour and salt, stirring with a whisk until smooth. Pour into pot with pasta and cook over low heat until it thickens and becomes bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat and add cheeses one at a time, stirring until smooth. Top with paprika, black pepper or cayenne if desired.
