Organic White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese
A homemade family favorite with ingredients you can feel good about, this creamy mac & cheese is bound to make the regular dinner rotation. Try it will different seasonings and fresh herbs, like basil, thyme, and oregano.
Servings and Ingredients
|8 oz. DeBoles organic elbow pasta|
|1 ½ c. organic skim milk|
|3 tbsp. organic flour|
|1 tsp. organic salt|
|1 c. organic shredded sharp cheddar cheese|
|1 c. organic shredded mild cheddar cheese|
|Organic paprika, optional|
|Organic black pepper, optional|
|Organic cayenne pepper, optional|
Things To Grab
- Large stockpot
- Small bowl
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return to pot.
- In a small bowl, combine milk, flour and salt, stirring with a whisk until smooth. Pour into pot with pasta and cook over low heat until it thickens and becomes bubbly.
- Remove from heat and add cheeses one at a time, stirring until smooth. Top with paprika, black pepper or cayenne if desired.
