Orange Trout with Garlic and Herbs
We refer to this dish as "fish with twist," with the twist being using orange instead of lemon. It's just another way to brighten the flavors.
Servings and Ingredients
|Zest of 1 orange|
|1 tbsp.||orange juice|
|1 tbsp.||Hy-Vee Italian seasoning|
|1||large clove garlic, minced|
|1 tbsp.||Hy-Vee Select olive oil|
|Hy-Vee salt and Hy-Vee ground black pepper, to taste|
|1 lbs.||Canadian trout fillets|
- Preheat broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl combine orange zest, orange juice, Italian seasoning, garlic and cayenne pepper. Whisk in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place fish skin-side-down on prepared baking sheet. Pat herb mixture onto fish.
- Broil about 7 minutes or until fish begins to flake. Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving.
