Orange Smoothie Popcorn

¼ c. Hy-Vee margarine | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar | ||
⅓ c. light corn syrup | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee orange juice concentrate, thawed | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract | ||
1 (3.5 oz) bag Hy-Vee butter light microwave popcorn, popped |
Directions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter until melted. Stir in sugar, corn syrup, orange juice concentrate and vanilla extract. Microwave until mixture boils, about 3 minutes, stirring once.
- Microwave on HIGH for another 3-1/2 minutes without stirring.
- Place popcorn in a large microwave-safe baking dish. Slowly pour juice mixture over top, stirring to coat.
- Microwave on 75% power for 5-6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
- Remove from microwave and pour onto wax paper. Allow to cool completely.
- Break apart and store in a tightly covered container.
