    2 ½ c. uncooked quick-cooking oatmeal
    ¾ c. flour
    ½ c. packed brown sugar
    ½ tbsp. baking soda
    ½ c. Promise trans-fat-free stick margarine, melted
    ⅓ c. chopped pecans
    1 (19.8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee fudge brownie mix
    ¼ c. water
    ½ c. canola oil
    2 eggs
    ½ c. Smucker's caramel ice cream topping

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Stir together oatmeal, flour, brown sugar and baking soda in bowl. Stir in melted margarine.
    3. Reserve 1 cup oatmeal mixture. Stir pecans into reserved 1 cup oatmeal mixture.
    4. Press remaining oatmeal mixture into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Bake 10 minutes; cool.
    5. Stir brownie mix, water, oil and eggs until well blended. Spread evenly over baked oatmeal layer. Sprinkle with reserved oatmeal/nut mixture.
    6. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 2 hours.
    7. Drizzle caramel topping over top of each brownie right before serving.
