In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream peanut butter, butter, shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined. Add egg and vanilla, beat until smooth and creamy. Stir in flour, oatmeal, and baking soda. Fold in trail mix.
Add dough to prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set and toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Remove from oven. Cool on wire cooling rack.
