    Get in the mood for the state fair with everything on a stick. A good (and semi-healthy) place to start? Frozen chocolate covered bananas... or monkey tails as we like to call them!

    1 medium ripe banana, peeled and halved crosswise
    ½ c. dark chocolate melting wafers, melted
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee roasted peanuts, chopped
    Hy-Vee caramel flavored syrup, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Push a wooden craft stick into the thicker end of the banana half, leaving a 2-inch handle. Place on prepared pan. Cover; freeze 2 hours or until firm.

    2. Dip frozen banana into melted dark chocolate wafers until coated. Sprinkle with chopped roasted peanuts. Return to pan and let stand until chocolate has set. Just before serving, drizzle with caramel flavored syrup, if desired.
