    You can cut these sandwiches in half to make easy kid-sized meals or a tray of game-day eats. Either way, the combination of Italian style meatballs smothered in fresh mozzarella on a toasted bun will be a family favorite. And they're ready in less than 10 minutes.

    4hoagie buns
    4 tsp.Hy-Vee Select olive oil
    ¼ tsp.Hy-Vee garlic powder
    20Hy-Vee frozen Italian style meatballs
    ½ c.Hy-Vee traditional pasta sauce, divided
    4 oz.fresh mozzarella, sliced
    thinly sliced fresh basil, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Preheat broiler to HIGH.
    2. Open hoagie buns and place, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Combine olive oil and garlic powder; brush over cut sides of buns.
    3. Microwave meatballs according to package directions. Place 5 meatballs and 2 tablespoons pasta sauce on each sandwich. Arrange sliced fresh mozzarella over meatballs.
    4. Broil 5 inches from heat about 2 minutes or until edges of buns are toasted and cheese is melted. Garnish with basil, if desired.
