3 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select maple syrup
2 tbsp. water
2 firm, ripe Bartlett pears, halved lengthwise and cored
¼ c. Hy-Vee chopped walnuts
Hy-Vee whipped topping, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine maple syrup and water in an 8-inch-square glass baking dish. Place pears, cut sides down, in dish. Roast pears 15 minutes.
  3. Turn pears cut-side-up and spoon pan juices over pears. Sprinkle with walnuts. Roast for an additional 8 minutes or until pears are tender.
  4. To serve, drizzle pears with pan juices and if desired, top with whipped topping.
