Maple Parfaits with Caramelized Walnuts
Servings and Ingredients
|¼ c.||Hy-Vee walnut pieces|
|⅓ c.||plus 2 tbsp Hy-Vee light pancake syrup, divided|
|¼ tsp.||Hy-Vee cinnamon|
|½ c.||Hy-Vee skim milk|
|1||(1 oz) pkg sugar-free, fat-free instant vanilla pudding|
|1 ½ c.||Cool Whip fat-free whipped topping, thawed, divided|
|½ c.||Grape Nuts, divided|
- In a small bowl, combine walnuts, 2 tablespoons pancake syrup, butter and cinnamon. Microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Spread onto waxed paper; cool.
- Combine milk and pudding. Whisk 2 minutes or until blended. Stir in remaining 1/3 cup syrup. Stir in 1 cup whipped topping.
- Spoon 1 tablespoon Grape Nuts into each of four serving dishes. Top each with layers of 3 tablespoons pudding mixture and 1 tablespoon whipped topping. Repeat layers once. Top with walnuts.
