    1 c. Hy-Vee 2% reduced-fat milk
    1 (1-oz.) packet hot coca mix
    ¾ oz. crème de cacao
    1 oz. Bailey's Irish cream
    Whipped cream, for garnish
    Crushed candy canes, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Add milk to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, being careful not to burn. Whisk in hot cocoa mix until combined.

    2. Bring mixture to boiling, then reduce heat to a simmer until desired consistency is reached.

    3. Turn off heat and stir in crème de cacao and Irish cream. Allow to cool slightly and serve in a mug topped with whipped cream and crushed candy canes, if desired.

      If you’re a fan of peppermint hot cocoa, try mixing in a few teaspoons of crème de menthe liqueur into the hot cocoa base or the whipped cream.
