    Servings and Ingredients

    Ingredients
    Serves 8
    QuantityIngredientAdd
    ⅓ c. peanut butter
    ¾ c. powdered sugar
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    4 eggs, separated
1 (3.4 oz) pkg vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
    ½ c. water
1 c. sour cream, at room temperature
    ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
    6 tbsp. sugar

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In small bowl, cut peanut butter into powdered sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle into pie shell.
    3. In large saucepan, combine condensed milk, egg yolks, water and pudding mix. Cook until thick, stirring frequently. Cool slightly.
    4. Stir in sour cream. Spoon into pie shell.
    5. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar on low speed. With mixer running, beat in sugar 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat on high speed to form soft peaks. Spread onto pie, sealing carefully to pie edge.
    6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely and refrigerate.
