    This sauce (also referred to as agrodolce) features a robust flavor balanced between sour and sweet. Sweet golden raisins and honey balance the tang of white balsamic vinegar in this robust sauce. Pairs perfectly with any pre-made chicken or beef kabob from the Hy-Vee Meat Department.

    ¾ c. Gustare Vita extra virgin olive oil
    1 shallot, thinly sliced
    ¼ c. golden raisins
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee honey
    1 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
    1 tbsp. fresh mint, finely chopped
    1 tsp. lemon zest
    8 Hy-Vee Meat Department premade chicken kabobs, or beef kabobs, for serving, if desired

    Directions

    1. Combine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, shallot, raisins, and honey in a small saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

    2. Stir in parsley, mint, and lemon zest. Serve along side kabobs if desired.
