½ c. basil leaves, loosely packed, plus additional for garnish
¼ c. Hy-Vee Short Cuts chopped red onions
2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
1 ½ tsp. fresh oregano, chopped
½ tsp. kosher salt
½ tsp. Gustare Vita red wine vinegar
Hy-Vee crushed red pepper
Crostini, for serving

Directions

  1. Place vine-ripened tomatoes in a food processor. Add undrained can diced tomatoes, basil leaves, red onions, garlic, fresh oregano, kosher salt, and red wine vinegar. Cover; process until desired consistency. Garnish with additional basil and crushed red pepper, if desired. Serve immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Serve with crostini, if desired.
