    2 ¼ c. Hy-Vee brown sugar, packed
    Hy-Vee salt
    1 c. Hy-Vee light corn syrup
    1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract

    Directions

    1. Melt butter; add brown sugar and salt in a large saucepan. Mix well; stir in light corn syrup. Gradually add condensed milk, stirring constantly.

    2. Cook and stir over medium heat until candy reaches firm-ball stage (245 degrees), approximately 12 to 15 minutes.

    3. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered 9x13-inch pan. Cool until firm and cut with a sharp buttered knife.
